Proper Meal Prepping Techniques
Steps:
1. Write out your grocery list of foods that you have on your meal plan, nothing else.
2. After grocery shopping, take out only the amount of foods you will need. For example on meats divide how many ounces you need in a small bag and freeze the portions separately. This will make it easier in the future.
3. Use your measurements and measure the proportions you need and begin cooking only enough for 1-3 days. I wouldn't go any longer than eating 4 days of food prepped if it is in the fridge. Freezing foods are different.
4. Once your done cooking, take the food ad separate them into containers for each meal of the day. Put the foods in the fridge.
5. The remainders go ahead and freeze for the next days to come.
Tips on Food Prepping:
Salmon you will want to only have in the fridge 1-2 days max. It is very temperature sensitive, so only allow 30 minutes max on taking it from the freezer to the fridge. Do not leave it out for room temperature.
Freeze uncooked meats. Any cooked meats only have them in the fridge 3 days max.
Be creative and stock up on good deals, freeze peppers, vegetables, fruits, etc.
Guess What? You can even freeze avocados by adding lemon to it!
